Make Time for an African Vacation to Cape Town

The legislative capital of South Africa, Cape Town is a very good place for a vacation. Located on the shore of the Table Bay, Cape Town gives you a lot to see & a lot to do. It is one of the biggest tourist attracting cities in South Africa & there are many reasons why. It is purely African, with its climate & its natural setting & of course, by international standards, it has a good infrastructure. Once you’ve landed in Cape Town, there are a variety of things to do & see.

Cape Town’s Beaches

The first thing you do, when you land on a coastline city, is hit the beaches. & Cape Town provides you with a variety of beautiful, world-class beaches to choose from. These beaches are a great point to relax, sunbathe & for beach sports. & are also very geographically significant; the warm Indian Ocean & the cooler Atlantic Ocean come together at Cape Point. So, as soon you land, hit the beaches for a relaxing, refreshing experience to kick-start your vacation.

Cape Point Nature Reserve

A true site of heaven on earth, the Cape Point Nature Reserve, more commonly known as the Cape of Good Hope is home to South Africa’s abundant animal life as well as the entire floral community. It is located at the south-western edge of Africa & was once famous for the torture it put seamen through with its tumultuous seas. There are trails around the reserve for you to go off exploring. The best part about this is perhaps the feeling you get when you are led by funicular that guides you to the very edge of the reserve, from where you get a breathtaking view of the reserve as well as Cape Town. As stated above, heaven on earth.

Victoria & Alfred Waterfront

This happens to be the most visited site by tourists in South Africa, as recorded in statistics. Originally a harbor built by Prince Alfred, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront is a project that not only captivates the tourists with the harbor’s original structure, but also provides a variety of shopping & entertainment options. Also housing the Two Oceans Aquarium, which houses the diverse sea-life found along the coast of South Africa. It is an underwater reserve that lets you view different oceanic creatures in their original habitats. Great for kids & adults alike, it is very educational.

KaapseKlopse

If you plan your trip accordingly, you might be able to catch the KaapseKlopse, a minstrel festival, in full blast during your vacation. The festival is a colorful event, with more than 13,000 minstrels, dressed in the most colorful outfits, out on the streets of Cape Town. There are a variety of things to see once you land in Cape Town, but these are some of the attractions you definitely do not want to miss. So, plan your trip accordingly, don’t forget the sun-block & have a great time in Cape Town.
