Rashmi Kamani through the Zuri group has taken tree planting as a mission to bring more greenery and cleaner environment in Kumarakom. Rashmi Kamani feels that tree cover is depleting day by day. Rashmi Kamani knows that trees have helped in the evolution of mankind and support many life forms besides releasing oxygen. Rashmi Kamani feels that planting trees is the first step towards appreciating our flora and fauna.
Rashmi Kamani believes that we owe everything to trees right from seeds, fruits, wood, paper and chemicals too. It then becomes our responsibility says Rashmi Kamani to protect and enhance what has been passed down by generations.
Rashmi Kamani feels that greenhouse gases like Carbon Dioxide can be removed safely and effectively through the natural process of planting tree. Rashmi Kamani feels that if more and more people were to plant trees it will save our environment from degradation. The Zuri Group under Rashmi Kamani plans to take many initiatives that help to replete our friends “the trees”.
Rashmi Kamani has selected the Kumarakom – Kottayam road for planting trees. Rashmi Kamani through the Zuri Group plans to carry out the beautification project of this stretch of road. Rashmi Kamani feels that enhancing the greenery of this area would add a cooling effect to the otherwise hot climate. Trees would provide the much needed cool air and comfort feels Rashmi Kamani and this road would create a healthy environment for the local people.
Rashmi Kamani feels that he can spread the message of planting more and more trees to many people through his initiative. Rashmi Kamani knows that the Kamani Foundation was set up for the purpose of serving the community without any discrimination between caste, creed, gender or economics.
Rashmi Kamani through the Foundation looks forward to help and empower the poorer sections of the society. Rashmi Kamani has done the distribution of school books to needy students.
