Exactlty what can you do on your vacation to Mesquite, Nevada? The grownups can spend a day golfing at Falcon Ridge golf course, or one of the other 4 world class courses, while the younger members of the family can visit the club house or take a swim in the hotel pool. If the younger members aren't interested in swimming, then perhaps they'd like a few games of bowling at the Virgin River Bowling center.
Perhaps they would want to take a tour of the Lost City Museum or browse the Mesquite Fine Arts Center and Gallery. Not far from Lake Mead, the Lost City Museum is opened Thursday through Sunday, and has many different artifacts which were excavated from the American Indian tribe of the Anasazi. There is also art exhibitions in the museum occasionally. There are six different museums that you could visit in Nevada. There is just no end to the things a family can do in Mesquite. There're able to check out all the history of the area.
While Dad is out golfing at the Falcon Ridge course, the wife and children can visit the Mesquite Fine Arts and Gallery. You can actually take art classes there and learn how to paint as well as take a pottery class. If you'd like to find out how the professionals do their projects, you should check out the art gallery and see how the masters did it.
There is also a museum known as the Virgin Valley Museum. At this museum you will be able to see what the first slot machine that was brought to the Nevada valley looked like. You'll see what the first whiskey still in the area looked like, what the early style televisions looked like as well as the first radios. Tours are offered to guide you through the museum.
The family could also do a bit of souvenir shopping. There are lots of shops they can take a look at close to the hotels as well as in the museums. There's always something fun to visit and something unique to purchase in the various souvenir stores. There are also some interesting souvenirs at the Falcon Ridge golf course club house.
Are you aware that there are 9 National Parks within a day's drive in Mesquite, Nevada? You can go watch sky divers dive in the air, go bumper car riding, have fun bowling, and go to the arcade. There's simply just lots of things to do around Mesquite.
If you're able to pry Dad away from the Falcon Ridge golf course, you can actually take sky diving lessons as a family. You could visit the Valley of Fire state park, and you will need to allow hours of recreation and adventure on this trip. If you decide to visit more than one of the state parks in Nevada, make sure you bring your digital camera along with you.
