Grand Prix of India

Substantial safety preparations have been kept at Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida for India's first ever formula 1 competition Grand Prix of India. After the official opening of Buddha International Circuit, Manoj Gouda, Managing Director of JP Group said in a press conference that huge safety arrangements have been made to make the massive event successful. He stated that within the safety preparations of Grand Prix of India, you will see close to 3000 security staff along with 1000 law enforcement professionals from Uttar Pradesh Police. He also guaranteed that in spite of these kinds of maassive security enforcements, there will not be any kind of disturbance to the sports lovers seeing the mega event at the circuit.

At the Buddha International Circuit, the race track is 5.14 kilometres in length with 16 curves and is one of the fastest Formula 1 tracks in the world. It has a total spectator capacity of 120,000 people with 20,000 viewers in the primary stand. Although the ticket rates are a bit higher, there isn't any deficiency of enthusiasm among the formula 1 fans. Most of the tickets including the grand stand were sold out for the event. Viewers can watch the event from their seats or on Television and the total distance covered in the 90 minutes is over 300 km as the cars make 60 laps in the 5.14 km race track. 24 Formula One drivers raced in the event including Sebastian Vettel who also won the inaugural Indian Grand Prix. Indian driver Narayan Kartikeyan raced for Hispania Racing Team while Indian billionaire Vijay Mallya owned Sahara Force India also participated in the event. Cricket star Sachin Tendulkar waved the checkered flag. Top Bollywood hero Sharukh Khan as well as a host of other actors, sports celebrities etc. watched the historic event live at Buddh International Circuit.

Sachin is a huge formula one supporter and is a very good friend of 7 times Formula 1 Driver's Champion Michael Schumacher. Sania Mirza could not keep herself away from the thrill while Shahrukh Khan promoted his movie Ra One during the Indian Grand Prix. Due to an injury on his left toe, Sachin couldn't play the cricket match series against England and so, was eagerly waiting for the Formula 1 event, the Indian Grand Prix at the Buddh International Circuit in Greater Noida near Delhi. Bernie Ecclestone, boss of Formula 1 has invited Sachin personally for the grand event. Sachin has said that he is quite excited about the event. He also said there is lot of difference in watching the race on Television and watching the same live being present at the ground. The speed of the race is just beyond your imagination.

He also said that reason for Indian Grand Prix is the increasing number of the sports lovers in India. It's new and the associated speed factor is catching with the new generation.

The Indian Grand Prix was touted to be a success with the arrangements pleasing everyone in the formula one world.
