Enjoy the essence of nature in Andhra Pradesh


The Andhra Pradesh (sometimes abbreviated AP) is a state of southern India.The fifth largest Indian state, Andhra Pradesh is irrigated by the rivers Krishna and Godavari and is called "rice bowl of India", the Telugu is the main language of communication. Kuchipudi, the classical dance form originated in this state. The artisans of Andhra Pradesh in India have offered their creations. The lacquered Nirmal paintings, wood carvings, silks Pochampalli, Hyderabad pearls are among the most significant productions of this region. Andhra Pradesh is the state of the colorful and Lambani Banjaras: nomadic tribes known for their long skirts and jewelry.

There are also in AP, as in the rest of India, many sacred places like Tirupati, Srisailam, and Puttaparthi. The richest temple in the world, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, visited by hundreds of thousands of pilgrims each year is at Tirupati.

Tirupati

It is the largest pilgrimage center in South India. The temple of Tirumalai is located a few kilometers from the city. On the Dravidian architecture it has high gopurams (pyramidal towers) and vinana an 11 m high structure covered with gold.

Hyderabad

The Muslim city is the capital of the state which is predominantly Hindu. This is the fifth city in India by population size. The city is dominated by two hills which rise on a white marble temple and a planetarium. From there one can have a beautiful view of the city, which is an area of greenery and lakes.

•The fort of Golconda
It lies 8 km from the city. It's a big building surrounded by a fortress atop a hill 120 m. This citadel is protected by 87 bastions.

Golconda is famous for its fabulous diamond that now in pieces

•The tombs of the Qutub Shahi and tombs of several sultans of Golconda.

•The Chaminar
It stands surrounded by four minarets in one of the liveliest areas of the city.

•Mecca Masjid
The largest mosque in Hyderabad. It was built in 1692.

•The Salar Jung Museum
it has collections brought back by the sultans of all parts of the world.

•The Archaeological Museum
Situated in the public gardens near Lake Hussain. In addition to the Archaeological Museum you can see a contemporary art museum, Parliament of Andhra Pradesh and the Library of Parliament
•The Nehru Zoological Park
More than 250 species of animals in areas that recreate their natural habitat.

The city has a mix of urban and regional life style and there are many resorts that are located a short distance from the Guntur city. Amaravati, Sitanagaram and Bhattiprolu are the striking monuments that can be spotted in Guntur. Guntur is known as major center for textiles and transportation. There are many references to Guntur in some of the ancient Sanskrit texts.
