Deepak Kamani’s approach to social work

Zuri Group Global was founded by Chamanlal Kamani and is the chairman of this Organization. Chamanlal Kamani has two sons, Deepak Kamani and Rashmi Kamani who are the directors of Zuri Group Global.
Deepak Kamani is interested to increase the community strength and community welfare, but for that it is important to bring awareness in education and many other sectors. Deepak Kamani also wants to contribute in social environment and for that he conducted a program,”Minimizing the environment pollution” in 2011. The idea behind this program was that people should become aware of how much pollution is being produced through vehicles and the solution for this is that people should become aware of the uses and misuses of petrol.
As a part of social environment, Deepak kamani planned a program that also planted trees in the near schools and societies. This tree plantation program was successful and had encouraged the school children to participate for planting trees. Deepak kamani’s foundation also supports the cleanliness of the Kumarakom canal so there would be a free-flow and clean water that would be used in fields and homes.
Deepak Kamani believes that each and every student should get education and this was resulted by offering donation to the poor children, conducting educational camps providing educational aids and so on. In 2011, Zuri group has distributed notebook, uniform to the poor children, provided needy educational aids such as books, note books, schools bags, slates, pen, and pencils and so on. Deepak Kamani foundation has largely donated the regional books to “Mercy Ravi Memorial Library”, that is the Kumarakom Library. It is noted that at the end of the year, Kamani foundation had distributed 20,000 note books and around 5000 students had received the aid.
Deepak Kamani wanted to pay for artificial limbs and medical aids and this was successful by conducting camps that provided medical guidance and for that he set the center as Rajkot. They organized camp all over the country in order to provide useful aids to those suffering from various physical disabilities. When requested by Junagadh district Automobile Association, Deepak Kamani’s foundation had acted as a benefactor to more than 800 people in 2002. In March 2007 a camp organized in Goa had benefitted to total of 346 people out of which 105 were provided artificial limbs and other aids. The camp had provided help to 11,728 people out of which 13,830 were provided with medical aid. |
