Amateurs in brochure printing usually commit mistakes in coming out with the print size. From the beginning of creating a brochure, you must determine and set up the appropriate print size. When you set up the said size towards the end of the printing, resizing would be hard. Be reminded in setting your brochure size to the output size of your printer. When both sizes do not match with each other, the result would be a design that is either small or stretched. This will then destroy the print resolution.
An important aspect of brochure printing is the resolution of the finished product. Resolution is the amount of pixels in an inch of an image. Images that are of good quality have more pixels per inch and said pixels are not visible. But if the image is of low resolution, the pixels are limited and will be visible thus making the image blurred. Make sure the resolution of your brochure has the right number of pixels per inch. Usually, documents that are printed should have 300 pixels per inch. It is important that your brochure has a good resolution so that its texts, objects and design can be seen and read properly.
Another important aspect of brochure printing is the print bleed. This is the color or line surrounding the design of the brochure so that when the brochures are cut, the print bleed will serve as the guide. The print bleed guarantees that there will be no problems during the cutting of the brochures which are actually mass-produced and not printed individually to ensure that paper space is maximized. Cutting can be imprecise therefore print bleed is vital. Brochures displaying images and the edges' bright colors need to have a print bleed that is 1/8 inch in size in the whole document. Printers have different sizes of print bleed.
The kind of paper used is also essential in brochure printing. The quality of a brochure depends on the paper used. Brochures are compared to one another based on the paper used and clients usually favor those that are of good quality. If you are promoting an activity that is for long-term purposes, you should use good quality paper that cannot be torn easily but if you are advertising a small activity that will be held once, you can use the usual bond paper.
