Your Company Formation Options

Company formation is a great way to start your own business. In fact, in the UK if you don't' wish to become a registered freelancer, then it is one of very few ways in which you can start trading legally. If your business will be conducted abroad then you may be able to set up an offshore company, otherwise you will need to learn the ins and outs of company formation.

In brief, company formation enables you to set up one of various different structures of business in the UK. From limited liability partnerships to public limited companies it is possible to choose from a range of different business structures, each offering its own advantages and its own features so that you can get the most out of your business. You will need to consider a lot of factors including whether you wish to set up on your own or bring a partner in with you.

A partnership can often be an easier way to start a new business. It means that not all responsibility falls on one person. Running a new company can be stressful as well as rewarding and it will require a level head or a collection of less level heads in order to ensure that the business is run effectively and efficiently from the very start.

You may also need to determine who will be company secretary and in some cases this can be one of the directors or partners while in other cases it has to be somebody else. You may be able to use a qualified third party or you may prefer to use somebody that will become a daily part of your organisation - company secretaries are responsible for many legal aspects of running a business including ensuring that annual returns are filed properly and on time.

Company formation continues to be one of the most popular ways for people to leave their nine to five job and stop working for the boss. There are many ways in which you can start your own business as well as a number of options that you will have to make before the business first goes live but these challenges do carry potentially substantial rewards.
