Seattle is a city in USA. The city of Seattle is largest city in the state of Washington in US. It is also a seaport as well as city. According to US census in 2010 the resident population of the city is 608,660 and inhabitant population is 3.4million.The city is among the list of car congested cities of United States of America. Seattle is rich in beauty. The city is located near Lake of Washington which is to the east of the city of Seattle. The city has sea, forests, lakes and fields. The three famous lakes are Lake Washington Ship Canal, Lake Union and Hiram M. Chittenden Locks. The city of Seattle has six hills. These hills are Capitol Hill, First Hill, West Seattle Hill, Beacon Hill, Queen Anne Hill, Magnolia Hill, and the Denny Hill. The city of Seattle have many famous buildings and location to visit to these include Seattle Central Library, Space Needle, Folk Life, Smith Tower, Seattle Central library, Columbia Center, Washington Mutual Tower, 1201 third Avenue, Two Union Square, Safeco Plaza, West Lake Center, Seattle Civic Square, 2015 2nd Avenue, 901 Lenora, 1931 2nd avenue, 1012 1st avenue and many others.
Media is one the major industries in the city of Seattle. Seattle’s famous news paper is The Seattle times. Others include Seattle Weekly, The Stranger, The Daily, North Seattle Journal, and Seattle daily Journal of Commerce. There are radios here also which include KBCS FM 91.3, KPLU 88.5 FM, KING FM, KUOW FM etc. Seattle has many festivals and fairs. There is Seattle international film festival in which films from around the world are shown. Then there are other festivals too such as Bite of Seattle, Seattle Hemp fest, Pow- wows, Sakura – Con, Seattle to Portland bicycling, Children's Film Festival Seattle , Maelstrom International film festival, Seattle transgender film festival and many more. The sports that are famous in Seattle are Australian Football, Ice Hockey, Basketball, Football, Rugby, Golf and many others. Education is here strong too here people have 53.8% literacy rate alone in Seattle.
The famous college and universities are Central Connecticut State University, University of Washington, Seattle public school, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Seattle Central Community College, North Seattle Community College, South Seattle Community College, Antioch University and many others. Transportation is great in the city. There are famous train and bus station here like King metro station, King County metro, SeaTac, Interstate 5, State Route 99, South Lake Union, Seattle trolleybus stations, Lynnwood Station, Nisqually station, Desmond Station and many others. In Seattle there are performing arts as well. Seattle is like a home to the music artist like Nirvana, Nikki Sixx, Quincy Jones, Alice in Chains, Mud Honey, Pearl Jam, Demon Hunter, Metal Church, Bill Frisell, Band of Horses, Shabazz Places, Blue Scholars, Fresh Espresso, Fleet Foxes, Iron and Wine, Postal Service, The Venture, Sound Garden, Modest Mouse, Sun city Girls, The Fast Backs, rapper sir mix a lot, Nevermore, Harvey Danger, sub pop, Murder city devils, Flock of seagulls and many others.
