Canvas Prints For Every Room In The House

In order to make a smaller room look and feel bigger, many home interior decorators will use large canvas prints. These decorative prints could be of large flowers or wide open spaces such as a meadow but they do bring people into the space and open it up to make a small space bigger. The same could be said for a dull area of a room. A nice framed piece of artwork could change the entire look and feel of a room.

Not everyone can afford a large masterpiece and therefore they could turn to their children to create something unique and exciting to use as canvas prints. No one said canvas prints had to be sophisticated, just look nice. A print made from a child's drawing or colors is precious and will be the center of attention when people come to visit. A print or copy store would be able to duplicate the drawing or artwork and then blow it up to the size needed for a frame.

Many people make great canvas prints from their family photos. They take great photos from weddings, picnics or children dressed in various outfits and have them blown up or reprinted in a little bit larger size for a grouping of prints. This will also to help open up the room, grouping several prints in a large square or in a mismatched circular position would also be something unique.

The best photos that could become canvas prints are those that will look good in black and white. Some photo shops will also make one item in the photo colorful and leave the rest black and white for a more 'artsy' touch. For example a red rose on a table while the rest of the photo is black and white.

If vacation or travel photographs are not as good as one expected to transfer into a print, postcards could be used in their place. The postcards could be enlarged a little or a lot, depending on what type of grouping of the photos one wants on the wall. These canvas prints could be combined with artifacts or special mementos from a family travels either nailed to the wall or set on a shelf under the prints.

Some people will use old photos of their grandparents and great-grandparents in order to keep their memories alive. In addition, their photos are usually unique from an era that lends itself to making black and white prints or older looking prints. These could be added between colorful flower prints for a nice contrast.

A lot of people are mixing their media's and that means they are putting prints next to cloth or other items. There are specially designed frame or shadow box frames that can hold a photo or print and then a cloth item such as a dress or a hat in the case of a wedding or baseball game. This mixes the two items to join a flat item, the print, with a three-dimensional item for unique canvas prints.

A memory box or shadow box that contains a wedding dress, wedding flowers or a christening dress from a baby could be placed along side a photo of canvas prints in order to liven up any room. Large canvas prints opens up a small room so that it looks bigger and a grouping of photos may make the room feel more inviting to people.
