Rashmi Kamani’s global presence in hospitality

Rashmi Kamani has always diversified his business into many areas that extends globally from Kenya to India and even to many other countries.

Expansion is the watchword for Zuri Group Global, the multi-national conglomerate with global business interests in real-estate, energy, floriculture and hospitality spread across Asia, Africa and Europe. Armed with a four-pronged strategy, it is all set to storm the hospitality scene with a new business model and asset management.
In a bid to further gain foothold in the Indian hospitality market, the group now plans to foray into asset management / management contract in a significant way. Rashmi Kamani said, “As a young brand, it is imperative for Zuri to make its presence felt across key markets in India and internationally, in a short span of time.

In order to increase our footprint, we are focused on organic and inorganic growth, management contract route and are open to looking at private equity partnerships in the next 5 years. We are already in advanced stages of talks with a few private owners in the southern and eastern markets.”

The group plans organic growth with an investment of Rs 1200 crore plus in the next 5 years for owned properties. Zuri Group Global is also working towards an IPO in the near future.

East was till now unconquered and now Zuri Group Global has set up its flag there too. The leading business & luxury hotel chain with properties across India have announced their foray into Eastern India with The Retreat, by Zuri, Baiguney, Sikkim. This is in line with the company’s strategic plans of having a strong presence throughout the country.

Since its launch, the Zuri brand has struck the right chord with people and now they think the time is right to have a wider footprint where guests can experience the signature Zuri hospitality.

The Group is not only focusing on its latest property culling out a popularity but also Rashmi Kamani is focusing its energies in maximizing the management contract model the Group has recently adopted. The hotel major has strode confidently in the direction of adopting a management model, which will see them tying up with existing property owners. In this way, apart from the obvious benefit of gaining from being branded ‘The Zuri’, the management and running of the property will be handled by Zuri to ensure adherence with their high hospitality standards.
