Photography For Wedding Made Easy
|
Making sure that you take the time to pick the best photographer for your wedding is something that can bring up a lot of anxiety for a lot of couples. One of the first questions is to ask yourself how much are you willing to spend on a photographer? Consider how many hours of the wedding will you need the wedding photographer? Your wedding is special so really think about what kind of photography you are going to want? Yes, it's VERY confusing! Different photographers work in different ways so I am going to do my best to explain how the best of them work, to help you make the right choice for your marriage. Here goes:
Number 1: Traditional. Practically all those getting married would choose this option when getting married a few years ago You'll probably seen many examples of this kind of style in the weddings you will have attended. This style of entails acting in a sense, as all the photos are staged. The main emphasis of this form of photography entails that the guests present are included in as many staged photographs as possible. I can tell you that I am definitely not a fan of this form of photography, and this coincides with modern trends as less and less people are opting for this style. Technological restrictions prevented photographers of the past to really go for any other style. Restrictions based on the fact that photographers of the past had to use film to take photos and the financial cost of this meant that traditional form of photography was the most economical choice for most couples. Of course when digital was introduced, everything changed.
Number 2: Photo Journalism. This is literally the other-side of traditional form of photography. Basically whereas traditional based photos are staged photos, this form of photography just captures the day as it progresses. You can literally view the photographer as a ghost. An extremely potent art form, that rarely is done well but when done well it is the best form of photography that you will come across. The best moments are captured, and the photographer is blended into the environment. Their main goal will be to avoid disturbing the guests in order to capture the best moments as they happen. Rarely can someone perfect this form of photography, but when it has been perfected the art is beautiful to view.
Number 3: Contemporary. As the name suggests is exactly the style of photography that we are going to look at. This style of photos here are just a mixture between traditional shot and documentary. Quite simply this form of photographer tries to capture the best of both styles. The goal of the contemporary photographer is to stage shots that are extremely natural looking, quite different from that of traditional based styles. Most of the wedding photographers that you will find today are usually under the label of contemporary.
To sum this short article up I really hope that this information has been useful toward helping you choose the right photographer for your wedding day. |
