The HTC Sensation is the new flagship smartphone from the manufacturer, and it is a perfect example of how quickly smartphone technology is advancing. It offers a number of impressive key features and trumps the majority of its competition on many aspects.
In this article I will take a look at some of its key features so you can decide if it is the right smartphone for you.
The HTC Sensation is largely marketed as a multimedia smartphone. Whilst is certainly has the credentials to make this claim, it is also a fantastic productivity device, and thanks to the versatility of the Android OS and its downloadable apps, it really does offer something for everyone.
Camera
One of the main points of interest for people when choosing a new smartphone is the quality of the camera. The HTC Sensation certainly does not disappoint in this respect. At 8 megapixels, it is certainly impressive in terms of its picture quality. What is also impressive about the camera is how easy to use it is. Everything you need is conveniently laid out on the camera interface. The manufacturer’s custom Android interface, called Sense is on hand to allow users to customise their handset o a high degree. Up to 7 homescreens can be assigned with different apps, widget and themes. This makes the Seaton a great all rounder, as you can set screens for, say, work, entertainment, travel, social networking etc. Sense also has many great innovations, which make the phone easy to use during day to day use. It also has a website which allows users to sign up and then they can back up all of their files, and even carry out a number of tasks remotely. For example, if you lose your phone, you can wipe all of your data, and even post a reward message in case anybody finds it.
Dual-Core Processor
One of the most talked about specifications of the HTC Sensation is its dual-core processor. At 1.2 GHz, this is in hand to provide all the computing power the device needs to run demanding applications. It allows resource dependant applications to load instantly and operate flawlessly. It also provides benefits to the hardware. For example, the responsiveness of the touchscreen is dependent on available processing power, as is the phone’s ability to browse the web quickly.
There is of course much more to the HTC Sensation than what I have covered in this article, but hopefully it have given you an idea of the levels of technology the handset boasts, and the kind of user experience it offers. The versatility of the HTC Sensation makes it a great all rounder for many different kinds of user, but it has the power to excel at many tasks.
