The Awesome HTC Sensation Offers An Outstanding Spec List

The HTC Sensation is one of the new flagship smartphones from the increasingly popular Taiwan based manufacture. It is one of the most powerful smartphones currently available, and whether you are looking for a handset for work or play, it offers something for everyone.
A large part of its appeal is its user interface, called HTC Sense. This was specifically developed by HTC to run over the top of the Android OS. It is extremely user friendly, and allows for a very high level of customisation. In this article I will take a closer look at some of the key features and capabilities of HTC Sense on the HTC Sensation.
Multiple Homescreens
The Sense UI allows users to assign up to 7 different homescreens. This is ideal for setting a homescreen or different occasions. For example, you can assign a homescreen for when you are at work, which will have all of your productivity apps, or you could set one for when you are on holiday. This could have multiple clocks with home and local time, translation and currency conversion apps etc. Of course you could have just one main homescreen which has all of your most used apps. For many, these will be SMS, email, internet, FaceBook and camera etc.
FriendStream
If you are into your social networking on sites like FaceBook and Twitter, the HTC Sensation could be the ideal phone for you. With the FriendStream widget, you can combine your FaceBook and Twitter feeds on to one screen, and view posts and updates in real time. Another benefit of this widget is that you can carry out many of the functions that you can with the standalone application for each site, right from the FriendStream interface. If you want to access the app for each site, you can also do this straight from the interface.
Active LockScreen
The HTC Sensation has an innovative lock screen, which allows users to access their four most used apps (these are customisable) even when the screen is locked. This is ideal for checking emails, text messages or social networking updates without having to unlock the screen each time. It works by dragging the icon for your chosen application into the on screen circle and it will then open the application. This is very handy for certain applications which you check more often than others, without having to fully unlock the screen.
The HTC Sensation is the perfect showcase for the HTC Sense UI. With its powerful processor and high resolution touchscreen, it definitely deserves its title as the manufacturer’s flagship device.
