In the whole of the world, people are well aware about the different kinds of herbs and plant products and natural substances, which are being used in the treatment and remedies for various ailments. The genesis of these kinds of natural remedies started a number of centuries back. They do have even mention of in the mythological texts.
In contrast, the allopathic form of treatments started only a few centuries back and has been in favor among the general public. There were no sufficient data to back the claims of the learned naturopathy experts and there were not sufficient numbers of research activities on these products.
Whatever study was being done in those days, were not extensive so as to establish their supremacy. It was only with the word of mouth that the benefits of the natural remedies could be known to the public. With introduction of surgery by charak, and various theories of the great learned men, started to make their ways into people’s mind. Since the allopathic system of treatment provided people with a rapid cure, which was what the advertisers and promoters also discussed.
It is perhaps, due to the wide spread technological advancement and improved diagnostic procedures that people in general, could achieve the practice of the disease and its remedies. But the manner in which the natures cures have revived in recent years, is a proof that people are trying to find out cures, now that allopathic treatment forms are not the end all of all diseases.
Some of the chronic forms of diseases are being studied to see the benefits through the use of such cures. As the number of people is increasing to take up the natural cure methods, it is high time that strong scientific explanation or reasoning in favor of naturopathy should be forwarded. Many chronic forms of diseases which are waiting to be remedied can be suitably done by the myriad possibilities of such herbal methods. It is only the time gap when the research is done and the newer drugs are found. |
