Organic Food Which Is Locally Grown Can Not Only Help Our Planet But Your Health Also

Everyone has to eat, but the foods that we select to eat can either have a good or negative effect on our planet. The issue is that most men and women don't think that the food they eat are usually impacting our planet. Another thing you may not recognize is that these foods can also have more than one unfavorable effect on our planet. So we have decided to go over a number of the negative impacts that can be created by buying certain foods.

When the grocery stores want food, this food has to be delivered, and that usually means lots of trucks burning fuel to get it there, and it could even be trucked from different parts of the country. Nevertheless it doesn't end there as Americans will in addition ship in foods from different countries. You need to also know that the further away the food is, the more fuel it is going to take to get this food to our grocery stores. First off let me describe how the foods get to our stores if the food source is in America. When the farmers pick the foods, the foods will then need to be delivered to a distribution center. At the distribution center the food will be inspected after which it will leave the center on yet another truck and go to the warehouse that stocks the particular grocery store supplies. And more fuel is needed again for the trucks to be able to deliver this food. At that point the food will go from the food store warehouses and be sent out to all the stores in the grocery store chains. You have probably by now guessed that additional fuel is being burned up once again to make this happen.

Although this is of course bad for the atmosphere, there is one other way we are contributing to the pollution of our planet. Almost every single one of these farms which grow the food are using chemical compounds on the foods to help them get the best crop as they can. Chemical fertilizers aren't the only hazard as these farmers can also be using other chemical substances for the purpose of making sure the crops they are growing will be as big as possible. These types of chemical substances are typically sprayed on which winds up polluting our air and our soil. And of course I always wonder what these chemical compounds end up doing to our bodies as inevitably some of these chemical compounds will end up in our foods.

You might already know this but these fertilizers are not the only chemical substance that ends up in our foods, in our atmosphere and in the soil. Chemical pesticides which are nothing more than a sort of poison, will also be applied to all of the foods. And the same as the various other chemical compounds they will spray these toxic compounds on causing them to go into the atmosphere and soil. These farmers will in addition cover the actual foods we're thinking of eating in these poisons and some other chemical substances.. Our government says the food is fine to consume, then again how come more and more men and women getting sicker and sicker each year?

Obviously if you end up getting organically grown foods from local farmers, you will be having a positive effect on the planet. This can allow you to essentially make an improvement in the pollution from the trucking industry simply because that will be just a little bit less that they have to deliver. Not forgetting when these huge farms end up needing to produce less food, this means much less chemicals that are making their way into our atmosphere, soil and foods. And so for anybody who really wants to make a favorable change for the planet and their health, locally grown, organic food is the solution. Choosing To Only Buy Organic And Local Food Can Help Our Planet

Everyone has to eat, but the foods that we choose to eat can either have a good or negative effect on our planet. Although most people have never considered that the food that they buy can have this effect. Our planet can be harmed in more ways than one when you buy certain foods. Here we want to talk about some of the effects you can reduce by buying locally grown organic foods.

One thing that you may never have given much thought to is that in order to get the foods to the grocery stores it is usually trucked in from all over the country. Of course there can also be food that has been imported from Canada, Mexico and other countries. This will cause loads of fuels to be used before this food finally ends up in our stores. First off let me explain how the foods get to our stores if the food source is in America. Once the farmers harvest the foods, the foods will then need to be transported to a distribution center. Then once the food has passed inspection, it will be transported to the various grocery store distribution centers. Again this is done by truckers burning more fuel. The food is then loaded on the trucks for one more trip and the food ends up getting delivered to our local shopping stores. This is a lot of fuel being burned which also leads to a lot of pollution being released into our atmosphere.

You should also realize that the fuel is not the only way we are polluting our planet. All of these farms will be using chemicals on the food to help them get a better crop. This can be done with chemical fertilizers and other chemicals that can make the food grow bigger. When the chemicals are sprayed on the plants you will find that these chemicals will not only end up polluting our air but also our soil. The other thing you should consider is that no matter how much you wash these items, there will always be trace amounts of these chemicals in the food itself as it is brought up by the roots and absorbed the foods.

You may already know this but these fertilizers are not the only chemical that ends up in our foods, in our atmosphere and in the soil. Chemical pesticides that are nothing more than a type of poison, will also be applied to all of the foods. And of course these pesticides will also be sprayed on, again, polluting our air and our soil. These farmers will also cover the actual foods we are planning on eating in these poisons and other chemicals.. And while the government says these foods that are OK to eat, the fact that they had poison sprayed on them, makes me wonder.

Of course if you end up buying organically grown foods from local farmers, you will be having a positive effect on the planet. This will reduce the amount of pollution from the trucks transporting the food. Not to mention when these huge farms end up needing to produce less food, that means less chemicals that are making their way into our atmosphere, soil and foods. So if you care about the planet and your health, buying locally grown organic foods will help both.
