Biking With A Twist: Pocket Bikes

Pocket bikes are on top of popularity charts when it comes to biking enthusiasts. The reasons are pretty obvious. They are fun to ride. If you are on lookout for the perfect way to have fun with your friends, pocket bikes are just right for you!

One reason that many people buy pocket bikes is that they are pretty cheap. You can find a pocket bike for as low as $300-$400. So you could begin your adventure without burning too much cash. You could begin racing on your race track, or you could take it to a rugged terrain but make sure you do not drive it on the road or you may end up with multiple tickets.

There are a lot of variations in pocket bikes. You are most likely to find bikes that best suit your tastes. You could get a sporty version or you could get a chopper bike. Also in case mini pocket bikes are too small for you, you could get big pocket bikes. Like mini bikes they are considerably smaller than the average bike. But they have enough room to make you feel comfortable.

However, while driving pocket bikes it is important that you take adequate safety measures. Make sure that you have adequate gear including helmet, gloves, kneepads and other such safety equipment. This is particularly true if you are taking part in a tournament or plan to do pit biking. However, it is startling to know that most casual bikers do not wear the safety gear and as a result are injured more frequently, compared to professional bikers.

Some pocket bikes are really fast nowadays and you would want to be careful with them. Many newer versions have come up with 125cc engines compared to the original 50cc engines. Also most of them have switched over from two stroke engines to four stroke engines.
