Fine art photography

FINE art photography – The alternative way to personalise your home

Ok lets start with the things then can get annoying when you walk into someone’s house, I would like you to picture the scene; your friend has just moved house and they have finished decorating it. They invite you round to show you what they have done with the place; you find that the place looks nice and they have laid out the rooms very well and maintained good colour balances throughout. They then draw your attention to the fine art photography that they have hanging on the wall; you pause a moment as that picture looks vaguely familiar, oh wait you saw it last week in IKEA! More and more people are finding the benefits of utilising their wall spaces with placing fine art photography on them. The main issue that we face is that these pieces of work are not really fine art photographs merely mass produced rip offs. These companies make a fortune of these prints as even on canvas they will be able to produce them for less than a pound. They will then charge you £10 for that very print.

Choosing fine art photography over mass produced drivel

There are alternative ways for you to choose photographs to place on your wall and that is by choosing the work of real photographers. The benefits of doing this are:

* You can scroll through limitless amounts of work which allows you to choose a work that inspires you and also suits your house.
* You get better value for money as you know that there aren’t as many of artists work in circulation. Depending on the artist you may get an original that nobody else can own or you may have a product that only a handful of people can own (you will usually get an indication i.e. you may get 1/10 written on the fine art photography).
* The cost of each work will depend but you will find some up and coming artists will sell their prints at lower costs due to the lack of public awareness of them
* You may like an artist and will have the privilege to own a piece of work that has meaning to that artist.

As you can see there are many reason for you to choose fine art photography over the mass produced alternatives.
