Fake tan products have been around in one form or another for decades, but were until fairly recently were only available and used in beauty salons. However, recently people have become more aware of the fact that sun bathing heightens their risk of skin cancer this has lead to many people to do a lot less sun bathing, but they still want the look of a tan. This is the main reason fake tan products have grown so popular in the past decade.

There are several types of fake tan products available. In beauty salons spray on fake tan products are still the most popular. They give a nice even result and you instantly get the tone of tan you are looking for. It is now possible to buy spray on fake tan products for use in the home, but unless you have someone to help you to apply them they can be quite difficult to apply evenly. Mist spray fake tan products are slightly easier to use and should not run. If you have a friend to help you to apply your spray tan you can easily get perfect results.
The easier products to use are those that you rub into your skin. You still need to apply them carefully and evenly to get good results, but this is far easier to do. Some change the colour of your skin after only one application, but most have to be applied several times and are designed to tan gradually.

The right product for you depends on the result you are looking for if you want instant results you need to use a spray on product. If you want to change your colour more naturally a gradual tanning product is what you need.
Before using any product on your skin for the first time it is important to test it on a small patch of your skin first. Apply the product and leave it on for 24hrs if you do not have an adverse reaction you can apply it all over. |
