Since the world wide web has become more powerful in terms of providing a wide array of options and opportunities for people young and old, it has also become a great platform for games. The internet has definitely shaped today's concept of gaming. Gone are the days when board games rule the gaming arena, for the internet has added a new dimension to the idea of game. Having a broad scope in terms of the age of gamers is one of the best things about War Strategy Games. The truth that many gamers, from as young as seven years old to as old as forty or so, all over the world are hooked into playing these games means that these games are more than special. Why is it that many are into this kind of game? It is primarily because of its accessibility. Kids nowadays already know the ins and outs of the internet, and as long as they know where to get these games or as long as these games are provided to them, they can easily figure out how to play these and get hooked to this kind of game. As for the more mature ones, this kind of gaming can be seen as an ideal way to kill time without wasting too much cash on other means to be dragged out of boredom
It may be based on the concept of war, but it's not as gruesome or as violent as many would have perceived just only by looking at the name of this type of online game. War Strategy Games are not really about war, but these games are more about strategy. The fact that it makes its players think makes this game addictive for the players. It may not be as intellectually challenging as playing chess, but these online games can really help develop one's logic in the fastest possible time that they could, which makes these games far more exciting than playing chess. In playing these games, there are usually several players who are competing against each other. Since this is a war game, the main objective of every player is to be the last player standing. The basic concept behind these games is that every player represents a group that will be battling each other. In one famous war strategy game, there are three races consisting of humans and aliens which the players can choose from, while in different game, the groups are different countries. Similar to what happens in a real war, every group must prepare for combat by being able to produce funds to be able to build structures and to train units for battle. Once all your structures have been destroyed and all your units have been killed, then you're out of the game. On the better part, if you were able to survive the attacks and you happen to have the most powerful group, then you will emerge as the victor.
War Strategy Games are not about the blood, but it's about strategies. Gamers do not really enjoy these games because of its carnage since it's not really that morbid if you consider its graphics. It is the ability of the players to exercise their better judgment in the fastest time that makes these games stand out. |
