Rashmi Kamani, Director, Zuri Group, who looks after the developmental projects of the Group, believes that every individual should fulfill his / her social responsibility in order to help society move forward and grow to its fullest potential. He always followed his motto of life: ‘The Foundation was conceived as a means to extend ourselves in serving the community with aid across boundaries of caste, creed, gender and economics. Empowerment of all strata of society is the only way to ensure our progress as a nation.’’
Through its Foundation, Rashmi Kamani makes multiple efforts to provide medical aid and support to medical organizations and local communities in the form of camps, donations and specialized treatment. The Foundation is known for disbursing medical aid by providing medical treatments as well. He thus made all efforts to keep the society healthy.
The Foundation supports the Sarvarog Nidhan Camp with a sum of Rs.50,000/- every year. It also provides aid to the Rajkot Aerodrome Dispensary managed by the Sargam Club with a sum of Rs.20,000/- every month for day-to-day expenses. Thus besides the money the main thing that matters are the noble intentions of his heart which no money can buy.
At Kumarakom, the Foundation involves itself in bettering the support system of the local medical facilities. The Group provides extended support to cancer patients for availing medical treatment, approved and recommended by elected local body members. It also provides ongoing support to the Primary Health Centre, Kumarakom, for conducting Pulse Polio Camps in the area. Thus he worked in eradicating the evil of polio and towards the treatment of the dreadful problem of cancer. |
