At a time, when most of the courses selected by students are of the professional nature, it is the job scenario, which has undergone a major shift. Students are picking up technical courses or professional courses, which would enable them to land good jobs in the coming years after their passing out. Therefore, subjects like engineering, MCA, MBBS, accountancy, etc are in the top of the list of streams that are being chosen by students nowadays.
Although these mentioned subjects have been in the spectrum of choice by many students, computer science and computer application degrees have experienced a sudden surge in the choice of students. Even after passing out from the Bachelor in Engineering courses, they are doing their M Tech degrees from colleges in the sub-branches of IT and Computer Science. This goes on to show that the IT and related branches are in much demand. Government jobs in the IT sectors are getting into the spectrum of choice in recent years, and the recruitment is being done by public sector undertakings as well as many government agencies. These recruitments are being done through the public service commission of the state and centre. Starting from the health sector to the field of academics, computers and information technology is being made use of in many sectors.
Most of the government sectors are actively recruiting people. Therefore, students who are aspiring to join the government IT jobs in the coming years, should prepare themselves well for entrance exam 2012, and secure for themselves a seat in the leading engineering colleges in the computer science and information technology streams.
Looking at the prospects, this particular sector has to offer, many students are also going for the short computer courses of SAP, ERP, Software applications, etc, to learn the different IT based working systems. With innovations and developments in these sectors happening at a rapid rate, the job opportunities are also increasing, giving the aspiring students a reason to improve their performances in the entrance exams.
