Psychometrics, as one could ascertain from its lexicology, is a subfield of the sciences of the mind that measures or gauges personal attributes or characteristics . Online quizzes like that sure can be fun in a senseless, compare-your-results-with-someone-else-and-laugh-about-it way. But again there are quizzes founded in psychometrics that have more value. The World Wide Web can indeed spew out a lot of things that can entertain you or effectively kill the time without killing you through ennui; and then there are some of these activities that are more than just that. |
