Showers with doors vs. shower curtains.

Showers are well suited to our busy lives where we only have a few minutes to get ready in the morning before rushing out to begin our commute to work. Shower systems feature in most homes these days (and even some work places), but have you ever thought about how your shower may be affecting the rest of the bathroom?

Shower pumps push water out at a very high speed to clean the body. To stop the floor becoming wet and aging the flooring and tiles it is vital to get some kind of covering to stop this water splashing on to the floor. Some people use curtains to cover their showers but most experts will agree the only way to truly prevent splashing is to get doors installed on showers.

So what are the benefits of having shower doors as opposed to shower curtains?

According to an article on the website www.therepublic.com having doors installed can change the whole look and feel of your bathroom by making things more streamlined and tidy.

Having children at home means safety is always going to be a big priority for many families. Having doors instead of a curtain will ensure the bathroom floor will not be wet when they step out of the shower. This will in turn help prevent the number of accidents that could occur.

Living in a flat or if you have a bathroom that is not in a well-ventilated area, shower curtains will get coverer in mildew and a build-up of lime scale quite quickly. This means you will probably need to keep changing the curtain and buying a new one. Having shower doors means you can spray on a bathroom cleaner that is specifically designed to break down this mildew. All you have to do then is wipe the dirt away and give it a rinse with the shower head.
