Washington DC is a city that houses a large number of museums. Museums are very important part of the heritage of a nation thus Washington DC has a very rich heritage. The most important of the museums that are present in The international Spy museum, Washington DC include The Holocaust Memorial Museum, The National Air and Space Museum, The National Museum of Natural History, Bead Museum, the National Museum of African Art, The National Museum of the American Indian, American Art Museum and the National Building Museum. The US Holocaust Memorial Museum is self guided museum that contains many pictures and images of the Holocaust. It contains two important halls; the hall of Faces and the Hall of Remembrance. The Hall of Faces contains the photographs of many Jews who died in the holocaust some seventy years ago. People light candles and offer prayers for the deceased in the Hall of remembrance.
International Spy Museum exhibits all the things and methods that are employed by the intelligence agencies to find out the crime. It is not only a good exhibit for the local people but also a great learning institute for the students who are planning a career in this field. They can look at the material and see how the intelligence agencies have progressed and improved in the recent years and the methods that were used long ago. he National Air and Space Museum is a treat for all the people who are interested in the space exploration or have been involved in it in their lives. The museum contains the models and the pictures of many aircrafts dating back from the era of Wright brothers till today. The museum contains many models of the US aircrafts that have been used in the World Wars. Also many of the new aircrafts like the F-16 are on exhibit. Moreover the museum contains the model of the first space ship that carried Neil Armstrong to the moon and started the race of space exploration. There are many other things in the museum like the space ships, submarines, astronaut’s space suits and others.
The management has tried their level best to exhibit all kind of aircrafts that are present in the world within or outside America. The Bead Museum is a small museum that exhibits some of the world class jewelry and gems. It is named after the beads because a large collection of the beautiful real beads is present here. It is developed to encourage the work of artisans who have worked for ages to provide beautiful jewellery to the people at large. The museum contains both the recent and the ancient ornaments. National Museum of African art contains fine collection of dolls, jewellery and Baskets. The National Museum of Natural History contains a great number of the mammals. The American Art museum houses a very large collection of the paintings of the world renowned artists. Art lovers from all over the world come and praise the work of great artist.
