Denim jeans are one of the oldest pieces of clothing. They have always been in fashion ever since. The word denim is believed to be evolved from a French phrase ‘Serge de Nimes’. Some think that the word denim evolved from ‘Genoese’. It was a name which was given to Genoa sailors when they used to wear fustian material; blue in color and which was a blend of linen and cotton. Denim jeans are something which one wears in everyday life as they are stylish and comfortable at the same time.
There are various types of denim jeans that are available in the market. There are slim jeans, bell-bottoms and designer jeans. There are faded jeans that are quite trendy and stylish. These jeans don’t get spoiled after washing in fact they look even better as its color keep getting better after every wash. There are stonewash jeans that became popular during 90s.
There are certain denim jeans that are specially made for women. Such jeans come with beautiful embroidery and embellishments on them to add a feminine touch. Earlier blue was the most popular color in denim jeans. However, over the years there are different shades available to customers. Denim jeans come in all shapes and sizes, thereby making it the most preferred piece of clothing.
Denim jeans should be washed carefully to sustain its color and fabric. They should be preferably hand-washed and one should avoid washing them in a washing machine as it may hamper its elasticity. Alcohol can effectively be used to remove grass strains. If one gets a chewing gum stuck in their jeans, the best to get rid of it is by using ice. When ice is rubbed on it, the gum comes out instantly. Once the jean is washed, it must be dried upside down. Such measures should be taken to increase the life of denim jeans.
Denim jeans have made a prominent place in fashion world. Trends come and go but there is this one piece of clothing that is here to stay for a very long time. People keep on increasing their collection of jeans as they are comfortable as well as stylish.
