Use Wool rugs to keep you warm this winter

Many people like to use wool rugs in the winter as they provide a lot of warmth in their wool fibres. Wool rugs are a cheap way of making your house and rooms more interesting and welcoming as well as having the added benefit of extra warmth and a bit of insulation.
Although wool rugs are a valuable tool in making your home look great they can also be used to warm up cold laminate floors. It is much nicer to step on a luxurious wool rug than a cold wooden floor or laminate flooring. With everyone wanting to save money the first step in winter is to find easy ways of warming your home up. Most people look at adding loft insulation and one solution is to put carpets through your home, but this can be very expensive and is not as fashionable at the moment. A large wool rug can keep your home nice and warm without the massive expense of ripping up laminate and having someone come round to put in a new carpet.
Wool rugs are relatively cheap and if you go online you can find some really good bargains. A wool rug is only the fraction of the price of wool or even a synthetic carpet and will do just a good a job at keeping your home nice and warm. There is nothing better than putting your bare feet into a nice wool rug as the fibres are much softer than synthetic rugs. Wool rugs can be a bit more expensive than synthetic rugs but for cosiness they are definitely worth it. You can also get lucky and find great bargains online meaning you can get a wool rug without breaking the bank.
Wool rugs also look great, it used to be that wool rugs would only come in certain sizes or colours but now with dyes and manufacturing so much more improved you can get a wool rug for any room or colour scheme of your house.
Interior design is very popular as less people are going out and more people are entertaining at home, however interior design in the magazines is very expensive. If you are clever and have a look online you can often achieve a similar if not better look for half the price. If you entertain a lot you may not want to redecorate your home all of the time, but still want to keep it fresh and interesting for guests who come round more often. The best way to do this is to keep your expensive furniture the same then change the colour of the walls with a fresh coat of paint and a new wool rug. This can completely change the look and feel of the room. |
