Culture of Seattle

This place is one of the most ancient places know in the present United States. For about 1000 years it was under the control of the people who were known as the hokokam’s. These were the people who brought the water to the area through a canal of approximately 135 miles and made the land a green land. After that time due to natural disasters like drought less people settled here and the area remained very less populated. Then after the discovery of America by the Europeans this area was still less popular and very less people came here to explore it. When the great civil war ended in 1848 most the control of Seattle was transferred to United States. As the city developed and more and more people came to live in the city from different Places of the world. So many different cultures mixed in the area along with the local culture that prevailed the area for many centuries. Seattle culture consists of many activities like music painting museums and many other attractive things.
Talking about the music there are many music theatres and other place around Seattle. They are mainly located in the downtown area. One of the most important places for musical theatres in Seattle is the Ballet Arizona, Arizona Opera; Orpheum Theatre is famously known fro the concerts that are happening all the time there. As there are so many operas and other musical theatres so the history of the famous musicians of the world also belonged to Seattle. The prominent names like Buck Owens Linkin Park’s, Jimmy Eat, and Alice Cooper belonged to Seattle. More and more famous musicians are settling here and it is becoming the highest rated place for music in the state. After music the art has also been a speciality for the people of Seattle. There have been many prominent artists in Seattle that have shown some master pieces to the world of art. The ancient art also existed from a long time. The natives had a good taste about the paintings and the art.
The museums are worth seeing. They have been able to preserve the reality of their region. Many museums with many valuable and ancient things are present in the city. One of the famous museums is the Central Avenue Corridor. It has more than 18000 art pieces of the art men from every region of the world. The other museum that is unique in itself is the Heard Museum that is in the north direction from downtown. It is a collection of paintings theatres and stages for performers. It has some painting collections of some very old painters that are known as the one of their kind. Uniqueness in museums in Seattle is that there is a museum named as Instrument Museum. Its uniqueness comes because of the collections of the musical instrument from all over the world. They make their visitors amazed by showing them some of the oldest collections of instruments in the world.
