Cher Lloyd wants to create hip hop clothing range

Hip hop clothing is seen by many as one of the most exciting lines of fashion in the UK and there are plenty of celebrities who adorn such outfits. However, one has revealed she wants to go one step further and create her own line of urban wear.

Speaking to the Sun, X Factor finalist Cher Lloyd said she wants to get involved in hip hop clothing and urban wear to make some creative garments that are not too expensive.

The teenager, who heralds from Malvern, Worcestershire, was signed by Syco Music after failing to triumph in the latest series of the ITV talent show. But she seems determined to have a varied career that is not solely centred on music.

She said: "I want to create a range, hip-hop style, creative, out-there - but very affordable." Then, talking about her attitude to clothing in general, she added: "I'd rather wear Primark than Prada. I'd rather spend my money making my family happy. I'm saving everything I've got to move my family away."

Cher also revealed she has certain worries about her appearance, particularly the fact she is so thin. The size 6 17-year-old remarked: "My big insecurity is that I am too small. I see girls with curves and I'd do anything to be like that. I'm trying. I eat all the time."

The celebrity noted she likes a "full-on Chinese" that includes everything covered in sweet and sour sauce. "I could eat that every day," she remarked.

She went on to criticise all those who have commented negatively on her appearance, arguing she is too young for such scrutiny. The star claimed she wishes she had waited until she was older before she broke into the industry.

When people say hurtful things to her, she will put up a barrier, she added, pointing out that if she does not care, others cannot hurt her.
