A football academy aims to develop young players, building their confidence and their footballing skills with the ultimate goal of providing exposure to professional clubs. A football academy will usually cater for players between the ages of 6 and 15 years. If you attend a football academy expect to take part in physical, technical and tactical development and in return you will get professional analysis and feedback from Coaches and Scouts with years of experience behind them.

A football academy will usually run a mixture of courses often including 4, 6, 12 week or even year long residential development courses which are aimed at players with high skill levels. A football academy will often run Youth Academies which may last around a month and will again be residential.
