People getting massages 'should be communicative'

When people choose to use massage services in London they should ensure they communicate their preferences to the therapist responsible for providing the treatment.

This is according to an article on Republikein Online, which suggested that while an intuitive professional is likely to pick up many clues about the needs of a client paying for a massage in London or elsewhere by the way they talk, sit and walk, they will not know everything.

Therefore, expressing particular wants is helpful, it claimed.

It stated: "Mention particular issues you'd like to have addressed and feel free to ask about the techniques being used in your session. Inform your therapist of short or long-term medical conditions."

The article went on to point out that those health complaints like cancer, diabetes and osteoporosis should seek the advice of a doctor first.

Returning to the subject of the treatment itself, it said: "Speak up. It is your time and your right to find out whatever you want to know about massage therapy and have the massage adapted to your specific needs."

This also applies to things such as the temperature of the room, it noted.

Those who remain quiet during the sessions despite the fact there are things they would like to change are unlikely to be pleased and may not return, it suggested.

A rising number of firms are realising the benefits of allowing their staff to take advantage of a massage in London or other places around the UK and some are even paying for the services out or their own pockets.

After all, it is generally acknowledged that a healthy workforce is a happy one and the treatments can help employees clear their heads and return to their roles rejuvenated and ready to face new challenges and deal with the stresses or their jobs.
