Feeding Your Cat

Feeding a cat can be both very easy and very awkward at the same time. After all, they are very self-reliant and can wonder off for many hours at a time, exploring the great outdoors and occasionally even bringing home their own food.

Whilst dry food can be left out for a cat to eat at any time, it is a good idea to include wet food as part of any cat nutrition plan and, as such, you need to be sure you can put the right food out for your pet at the right time. However, focussed cat nutrition plans can involve dry food that is far more able to satisfy your cat's needs than general high street products would be able to. In turn, you will be able to simply offer them the wet stuff as and when they are around and looking peckish rather than worrying that you will not be around when they come home hungry.

Finding the right food for your cat isn't just about making sure they can eat when they want to. It is also wise to ensure that you have the right food for their age too. A kitten will want very different food with very different nutrients to a cat in its twilight years, and making sure you have the right food for your cat can make a huge difference to how well it develops and simply how healthy and happy it is.

The right food is even more vital for a kitten as they have far more specific needs when they are growing and developing. However, it is not just the food itself that is important, but how much they have. With smaller stomachs they will need smaller meals more frequently, so make sure you don't just have the right food to offer them, but can offer it to them at the right times too.
