Founded by Carin Kirby in 2001, Consign of the Times is Miami’s first (...and premier) luxury resale boutique selling high-end and authentic designer bags from designer labels at unheard of prices. In the SoFla world of chongalicious neon leggings and equally as neon plastic hoops, Consign of the Times takes pride in being Miami's destination for true Fashionistas on any budget. Luxury is this 400 square foot boutique’s specialty, carrying designers like Chanel, Christian Louboutin, Fendi, Chloe, Alexander Wang, Christian Dior, Hermes, and Alexander McQueen.
When Carin Kirby arrived in Miami she saw sheer potential. She built the boutique from the ground up, without spending a dime on merchandise. “It was a no brainer. Fabulous Miami Beach needed a go-to for budget friendly designer label lovers.” Now on the brink of tenure, this stylish haven is now setting their sites on the world of e-commerce. “We adore our South Florida clientele. They are faithful to us and many have been with us for almost a decade now - at heart, we are a brick and mortar. However, it’s important to my team and I to share this experience (and our savings) with the world because now more than ever it’s a possibility. The days of buying luxury in store are over,” explains business savvy owner Kirby.
Along with their online shopping venture, Consign of the Times is launching a blog. The boutique’s blog is set to divulge trend reports, looks they love, and good old fashion updates from the eyes of a budget fashionista. It is sure to make a splash on the fashion scene, encouraging creativity and open dialogue amongst label lovers with a conscience.
The boutique collects pieces from some of the world’s most exquisite closets. Like the fashion industry, Consign of the Times continually revamps its collection of high-end luxury pieces to provide our clientele with the latest trends. “I love visiting Consign of the Times. They have something for everyone and treat all the clientele, old and new, with respect. I was excited for them when they expanded to online shopping (but now I have to share them with the rest of the world),” says Valerie jokingly, a client and decade long consignor.
