The HTC Evo 3D Impresses In The Processor Department

Not so long ago we were eagerly awaiting the arrival of the LG Optimus 3D, the first mobile handset to bring 3D screen technology to the market. By using a special polarised display this phone enabled the user to see images in 3D without the need for the glasses that are required at the cinema or on home televisions. Thanks to the prolific manufacturer HTC consumers now have another phone to choose from if they want to use this excellent technology. The HTC Evo 3D is available soon and if it boasts the same quality as other handsets from the brand then it should prove more than a match for the LG.

The Evo 3D looks to inject some fresh life into HTCs model line up which was becoming top heavy with good quality yet uninspiring phones. Obviously the most important element of any phone boasting 3D is the screen technology that is used. The Evo 3D does not disappoint us here thanks to a screen which measures in at a huge 4.3 inches which rivals some of the largest phones currently available. This large screen does not only offer the perfect platform for viewing all manner of material but its extra size also helps make 3D viewing a much more impressive experience, viewing such material on a 3.5 inch screen would be far less effective. The decision to use an S-LCD panel was a very wise one as the display offers image quality on a par with Super AMOLED. Together with the ability to display over 16 million colours and a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels the screen is without doubt the stand out area of this model.

Any 3D handset requires a high speed processor in order to handle the demands of such material. The HTC Evo 3D take things to another level however by not only providing an extremely fast 1.2Ghz chip but one that also boasts dual cores making it exceptional at multi tasking. Network coverage is another area where the phone is well equipped. User can access WiFi networks with the phone with all three current speeds supported whilst if you are on the move there is ample support in the form of both 3G and EDGE enabling simple web browsing and fast download speeds. As far as the phones operating system goes it is pleasing to note that the Evo 3D comes straight out of the box with Android 2.3 Gingerbread installed unlike many modern phones that are still being shipped with the 2.2 platform. In addition to this the phone also sports some impressive 3D software to enable you to take full advantage of the handsets facilities. This software includes a YouTube 3D client as well as an additional 3D application for Blockbuster movies.

The LG Optimus 3D impressed when it was introduced into the market place and the HTC Evo 3D takes things a step further with brilliant 3D performance together with some excellent general specification.
