Email Marketing for a Cause - Getting People to Help with Email Newsletters


Some people believe that email marketing and email marketing software are only ideal for use by companies that want to make a sale or increase revenues. While these tools are indeed used to do these things, they can actually be utilized to do more. Email marketing can actually be employed to solicit help from people who want to give help to those who need it.

Using email marketing and email marketing programs to enlist the help of people who are capable of giving assistance when the time arises is something charity and welfare sites should consider. Sites that inform people of certain projects that need financial aid or events that require volunteers to assist with can actually use these same marketing tools to get the emails of people who want to lend a hand.

Charity sites, eco-awareness sites and even news sites can actually have an opt-in page for those who want to volunteer finances, products and even physical help when there is a need. This opt-in page will gather the email addresses of people who want to help and when the need arises, these individuals will be sent emails asking for their pledged help. These individuals can also be sent regular email newsletters about worthy causes and charities they might want to offer assistance to, even when there are no events or activities lined up for these causes.

People can also use these email marketing software to inform people of ongoing causes and what they can do to help. For example, if you have a site that talks about recycling and are thinking of putting up recycling plants in many different places , you can use this medium to gather the much needed help and finances for putting together such a project. Every time you have a location that needs a recycling plant put up, you can email the people on your list about this. This can then help you get the kind of assistance needed to complete such tasks.

You can also use an email marketing program on a site that helps collect financial aid for different charities and worthy causes. An example of what you can do is this: Create a newsletter that informs people of your worthy cause for the month and you can tell these same people what they can do to help with this worthy cause. People who receive this emailed newsletter can choose to help the cause you tell them about for that month or they can choose to help with the next charity you email them about in the coming months.

This just shows that email marketing is not for profit only. These email marketing tools need not be used only to increase revenues and to get people to buy products from companies. These can also be used for charitable movements and in getting people to help one another.
