DIY: Decorating Your Chiavary Chairs

Congratulations! You now have your chiavary chairs that can be used for any occasion or simply used as wonderful accent to your home. The next step is to take those chairs one notch up by decorating them. Adding special touches to your chairs can make a big difference. You can easily style your chairs up with some ribbons and cloth to compliment the theme of any event or party that you will have. Does that sound fancy and complicated? Fear not because the tips that you will learn here are very simple that even your kids can enjoy doing.

You will need the following materials; a pair of scissors, glue gun, glue stick, ribbons of different colors, different designs and colors of cloth and other decorating materials like plastic flowers, tiny toys and marbles.

For an ocassion like a wedding, the decorations need to be simple and elegant. For the cloth, stick with hues of white, beige and cream to achieve a classic design. Fit the cloth to the frame of the chair that you want to cover. Don't be scared to cut because you can easily glue the untidy edges with the glue stick. You can also decorate those edges with plastic flowers or gold ribbons to hide the flaws. The good thing about chiavary chairs is that they are very flexible. You can even change the cushions of your chairs to fit the theme of your wedding. Sash and other fabrics can also be added to give your chairs a more sophisticated look that will definitely make your guests raving.

You can most definitely decorate your chairs for birthdays. For such events, you do not need to have inhibitions because you need a lot of creativity and imagination instead. Let us take your little girl's third birthday party as an example. Go for colors that girls love like pink, purple, blue or practically any bubble gum or cotton candy color that kids love. Do not be afraid to go crazy in picking materials because it is all about fun anyways. You can even have a chair decorating contest in the party. That will certainly boost the kids' imagination and creativity. They will surely enjoy doing that, too. give them colorful materials such as ribbons, small stuffed animals of their choice, pebbles, marbles, colored stones, etc. Just guide them in using materials such as scissors and glue gun. Practice safety first.

Your guests will surely notice the small details that you put in your chiavary chairs because that is where they will be sitting on for the whole reception. You do not have to be a professional designer to decorate your chairs. You just need a little bit of practice and patience. This project can be a good bonding activity for you and your family. You will never know, with practice your designs might get really good and creative that you will be the talk of the town after the party. Some of your guests may even hire your services to decorate their chairs for their own parties. Have a great time!
