The Impressive HTC Chacha Join The Nokia C3 As A Great Facebook Phone

Every once in a while a handset is released which really captures the attention of the marketplace. All to often new releases are very similar to models that existed previously but just with the inevitable updates on the internal specifications of the phone. This cannot be said of the HTC Chacha as it is a model that breaks away from the traditional smartphone format to offer users not only a device that is perfect for the traditional means of communication but also for using in conjunction with the massively popular social networking site Facebook. HTC are not alone however in designing a handset boasting a keypad and great social networking features, Nokia have a model in their range named the C3 which boasts much of the same functionality as the Chacha, but which one of these fun and feature packed handsets is the best?

In terms of operating systems the HTC model is by far the most impressive thanks to its use of the ever impressive Android operating system. Nokias reliance on the outdated Symbian platform may be their main downfall here as it simply is no competition to Android. Despite Symbian offering a simple platform that is easy to use, it cannot match Android in terms of speed or security whilst the whole interface in general seems modern on the HTC and old on the Nokia. Putting the operating system and software to one side for a moment and looking at the hardware side of things and it is pleasing to see that both models are much more equally matched in this department. Nokia have established a great reputation over the years for their craftsmanship and considering this is not a premium handset the build quality still feels remarkable as you would expect. Although HTCs tradition in this area does not stretch back as far as Nokias in a short time they have become renowned for high quality devices and the same build quality can be found on this model as you find on higher end models such as the Desire S. Both models work well and the keypads lack any audible creaks or groans.

Social Networking is the area of expertise on the HTC ChaCha so as you would expect the phone really does excel in this department. Both phones feature native applications for sites such as Facebook thanks to the Friendstream function found on the HTC and the Communities feature installed on the Nokia. The Chacha comes out on top though thanks to a dedicated Facebook button located on the bottom edge of the device. Not only is this key responsible for launching the application but it can also be used to share whatever task you are doing with your friends on the site. Let me give you an example, you have just taken a photograph on the phone and want to post it on your profile. Whereas previously you would need to access your account in order to perform this task now you can simply press the dedicated key, it really is as simple as that. Both models feature excellent social networking integration but only the HTC offers this dedicated key and that is what makes the Chacha the best phone for social networking.

Thanks to the fun design and the social networking facilities much of the appeal of these two models lies with the younger generation of phone users. Both models are built to a very high standard but you can not help but feel that the Nokia is mainly let down by its old fashioned operating system, asides from this both models are very similar.
