Haunted Weekends

One of the biggest thrills for anyone that likes the supernatural is haunted weekend events. Haunted weekends are events ran by expert paranormal teams that allow the members of the public to ghost hunt in the area that the project is running in. Often these are old, reportedly haunted buildings, and the projects are usually great fun.
What to expect on a Haunted weekend
Haunted weekends start when you arrive - you'll get to know the team and other people joining you on the hunt and then, you'll get settled in. Once you're settled in, you'll often be coached on how to use the equipment and then, on the first night, test out what you've learned. Haunted weekends are hands on, fully featured weekends, and involve some physical exercise, so you should be sure that you can manage to walk wherever you're expected to hunt ghosts. The equipment will pick up anything that you'll look at the next day. Very late into that first night, you'll probably go to bed pretty late.
The next day, you'll continue to evaluate the area for signs of haunting, and review any information you've collected from the night before. This will give you the opportunity to decide where to focus your second night of 'hunting'. You'll want to get some more sleep during the day if possible too, because your second night will probably quite busy!

Most people find that once they've been on these events, they want to learn more - so if you're considering getting into paranormal investigation, or are interested in certain areas of the UK that have ghost hauntings, these projects are ideal to let you get a feel for what is involved, and give you additional leads to follow up on. While they are meant as a fun introduction to paranormal investigation, the whole concept around haunted weekends is to provide proof of hauntings and introduce more people to the idea of haunted areas. Where you take your knowledge from there is your choice, but many people use haunted weekends to get into learning about the equipment and the ways of hunting ghosts first hand, and go on to investigate more on their own. |
