CANVAS DIGITAL PRINTING

How is Digitally Printing different from other forms of printing such as lithography,

flexography, gravure or letterpress ?

Lithography : is a method for printing using a stone or metal plate with a completely smooth surface

Most books, indeed All types of high-volume text, such as books, are now printed using ‘offset lithography’ which is the most common form of printing production.

Flexography : is the process using a flexible relief plate and is similar to letterpress. It is mainly used for printing onto plastic, cellophane and paper such as food packaging.

Gravure : engraves the image onto a copper cylinder and prints onto reels of paper rather than sheets and it used for mass production such as printing newsapapers.

Letterpress : is the process where a raised surface is inked and then pressed into a sheet of paper to get a positive right-reading image.

Digital Printing is using a digital technique developed for computer printers. The benefit is that as compared to Lithography, printing plates are not required. There is less waste of chemicals and paper, which is more cost effective. The ink or toner does not permeate the substrate or media you are printing onto.

Here at Printed Space (printedspace.com) we use the Epson Stylus Pro 9880 wide format printer for our Digital Printing to our Canvas media and we produce Canvas Prints, Giclee Canvas Prints and photo’s to Canvas. We can also produce large canvas wall art up to 12’x8’. Even solid blocks of colour such as black, blue, red, green or orange can be used to produce large canvas prints of contemporary art.

The Epson 9880 allows us to print the highest quality photographic prints and fine art reproductions. It has an 8-colour inkset which gives excellent consistency and the images come out in amazing detail and definition in vivid, long lasting colour.
If you want a piece of canvas art to grace your lounge, children’s bedroom or office or have your wedding, child’s photo on canvas, send it to us.

+Don’t view your room as a ‘blank canvas’ fill the space with a digital canvas print.

Author Resource:- Even if you have a large wall and want it filled, we can provide large canvas prints. If you want them to be a bit different, why not have them in different styles such as ‘pop art’ or ‘sketch’ .
