When transporting, make sure that they are covered with bubble wrap, which would not only protect it from dust and pollution, but would also protect the tiles from jerks which can lead to cracks being developed in the tiles. While shifting tiles, always keep them gently on the floor as you might damage multiple fliesen this way. Few precautions and proper care would eventually protect your terracotta fleisen from any damage.
Take proper maintenance care
Terracotta fliesen would give an entirely different look and feel to your space, so it is important that you take proper post application care to keep that look and feel intact. Clean the terracotta fliesen regularly with a slightly wet cloth. Make sure that the cloth is clean and is soft. Rugged cloth might make the fliesen develop scratches and marks. Do not drop heavy objects on your terracotta fliesen, nor do drag heavy and sharp objects on it. You would obviously want the terracotta fliesen at your space to last for long and this can happen if you take a few precautions after applying them.
