Sense UI Goes Hand In Hand With The Excellent Chacha From HTC

The HTC Chacha is a mobile phone that oozes fun. This is evident from the name alone but looking at the phone itself there a number a features that make using the mobile phone an experience rather than a chore. Much of this is down to the excellent Sense user interface that the model utilises. Sense is a graphical user interface designed to not only make using the mobile phone an easier affair, but also very logical. Since its original release the system has undergone many changes with this phone sporting the most up to date version complete with features that are innovative and simple.
Together with the HTC Salsa, the Chacha completes HTCs new range of handsets pitched right at the masses of social networking users. Given that the potential market for this handset is predominantly teenagers and twenty somethings, some of the features of the user interface will prove a real attraction on this phone. This younger generation of user is not happy to simply unbox a phone and use it, they want to be able to customise the handset with features that are useful to them together with animated wallpapers and a host of other widgets and icons. Sense enables this not only on one screen but across seven, meaning the way the phone operates and what you see on your homescreen is entirely up to you. How the phone looks is not the only area that is influenced by the Sense UI, but it also has an effect on how the phone behaves. Imagine if you will you are in a meeting or a lecture and your phone rings. Rather than quickly fumbling around to silence or reject the call, the moment you lift it from its resting position the volume lowers considerably and should you want to silence it totally then you simply need to place the phone face down.
Thanks to the HTC Chacha and its integration with Facebook there are a number of features that benefit from this. Because the whole principle of the Chacha is making people the centre of the experience and not the application, this means your phonebook does not only hold details such as names and numbers but also photographs, birthdays and status updates from Facebook. An advantage of this is that when you receive a call the display will show the latest status giving you an ideal start to the conversation. As you would expect the ever popular Friendstream facility is also present, presenting you with a live feed of not only facebook but other sites such as Twitter, all intergrated together in one place. This not only means you can view information easily but also posting can be done to various sites at the same time, ultimately saving the user time.
Despite the HTC Chacha focusing heavily on its social networking features, there are enough features to appeal to the more general phone user looking for a stylish and fun handset.
