Cheap Green Rugs are the Colour of Springtime!

I am always looking for ways to keep my house looking clean and bright. In the spring I am looking for bright colours to brighten up my home after the drab dark days of winter. Green rugs are the perfect way to get a fresh new look, but cost is always an issue. Cheap rugs can fill this gap. Green rugs are a fantastic colour for bringing a new up to date look for your home and needn’t cost the earth.
Green rugs come in a variation of shades which will suit any colour scheme. For a bright fresh look choose lime green or an emerald shade. Take care that the rest of your colour tones do not clash too much with your rugs as too much brightness can be over powering. It is best to keep the green rugs as your focal point for colour in your room. This enables you to be much more versatile in your design choices. A neutral background gives you the opportunity to ring the changes with cheap rugs which can change the whole look of your room with a comparatively small expenditure. The brightness of a lime green or emerald green rug will lift your colour scheme and update it ready for spring.
If your taste runs to the more subtle shades, green rugs are also perfect for you. There are a myriad shades of green, as many as the shades of green in trees and plants. A cheap rug can be used to reflect the natural colours of spring. Moss green and shades of ivy are calming and relaxing, and again can be teamed with neutral walls in beige. They can also be matched to green tones walls and soft furnishings as these understated hues are much more forgiving than the vivid and exciting green rugs in lime green tones. The natural shades look extremely good teamed with other natural colours such as browns to reinforce the theme of nature. Flower and leaf patterns on the cheap rugs look good and tone in with most types of decor. For me, these enhance the coming of spring and cheer up my whole house. They are easy to integrate into my current decor and make my house look fresh and new.
To make the best of both world, I am choosing lime green rugs in my living room and more subtle shades of green rugs for the bedrooms. The cheap rugs I have chosen for the living room are plain. I am using the brightness of the colour to make a vivid statement and a focal point and a pattern would distract from this so the colour here is all important. Bright green rugs give me the intensity I need without having to change anything else. In this way cheap rugs can be worth their weight in gold as this is all you need.
In the bedroom I am looking for a more understated effect, and I am using green rugs with a pattern. The other colour in the palette is brown, in squares. This is calming and these cheap rugs give my bedrooms the look I want for this year. |
