Travelling The Isle of Skye to Bristol: A Trek across Britain

You are going to visit the UK, but you don't want to do the traditional London, York, and Cambridge visit. Rather, you would like to go to a more unknown and less popularly visited destination, but manage to visit as much of Great Britain as possible. Your perfect trip, then, is a visit to The Isle of Skye in Scotland and then to Bristol in the southwest of England.

The Isle of Skye was recently voted '4th Best Island' in National Geographic, and stepping on its beaches is like travelling back into history. While exploring the Isle of Skye, you will find amazing jagged cliffs straight over white sand beaches. You will be able to see ancient keeps and see tiny cottages that appear to be frozen in time. You can hop on a boat tour that goes around the entire island and hear about the interesting history of the Isle from the boat trip leader. And when it is time to rest and recharge, you can get into any of the lovely Isle of Skye hotels. You can choose from distant countryside cottages and historic inns, all of which have within them features of the old Scotland. Stay as much time as you fancy, but don't forget there are still the pleasures of Bristol to discover.

The road from the Isle of Skye to Bristol is clear and straight ahead, and the road is filled with incredible sites along the trip. It takes about 10-11 hours to get from the Isle of Skye to Bristol by auto, though the road is sure to give tons of views to enjoy and many famous British cities to check out. The road you will travel actually goes straight through the core of Britain, from your first destination far in the north to the next travel destination in the southwest.

Following your awesome trip across Britain, you will arrive at your next destination: Bristol. You can check out endless sights and attractions present throughout Bristol. You will be able to take in the wildlife of Bristol by visiting Bristol Zoo Gardens as well as Bristol's Blue Reef Aquarium. You will feel blown away by the size of the world's original great ocean liner, named Brunel's SS Great Britain. When you are like a bit of great entertainment, go for a night or two in the Bristol Hippodrome, an exceptional provincial theatre. And when you are ready to sleep and relax following all these trips, you can select from tons of hotels. Bristol offers all kinds of hotels, from 4 star lavish rooms to less costly accommodations. Whatever your taste and price range, you will be able to get comfortable spots to spend your time in Bristol.

Take the trek from the ancient Isle of Skye across Britain, and come to rest in the fun environment of Bristol. While you travel across Britain, remain confident that you are going to get cheap and lovely accommodations and hotels Bristol and The Isle of Skye have to offer. At the end of your trip, be content with the fact that you got away from the same old British path, and taken in sections of that country that many never see.
