How to Have the Best Stag Do Ever

Before a man says his marriage vows to the woman he loves, it is customary that he hits the town with a huge group of his closest friends for a night of adventure, dancing, karaoke, pranks, stunts, sports and drunken exploits. Stag dos are a tradition that celebrates the fact that boys will be boys, and it should be a fun experience full of good laughs.

If you are in charge of organizing a Stag do, how can you make sure that you and your friends have the most awesome weekend possible?

Here are some tips for planning Stag dos:

1. Always Book Early

Maybe you are a fly-by-the-seat of your pants kind of a guy, but when it comes to planning Stag dos you need to be organized if you want the best choice of activities. Most Stag dos need to be planned at least 3-4 months in advance.

If you will be travelling abroad for the stag do, you will need to book flights, hotels and acquire travel insurance, so leave plenty of time for this.

2. Decide on Activities

Now that you know that you need to start planning early, you are already thinking of which activities you and your friends should do.

Of course, stag dos are all about making sure that the groom has a good time. It is his party, after all! He should have final approval of all activities and if he has a set out plan in his mind then you should go with what he wants. But what if he says he doesn’t mind what you do, as long as it is something everyone will enjoy? How do you narrow down the choices when one person wants to go white-water rafting, another wants rifle shooting, and other wants to spend the evening at a strip club?

The most diplomatic way to do this, especially if you have a large group of guys going, is to decide through a simple vote. Write down all of the suggestions on a piece of paper, and then ask everyone to indicate their first, second and third choices. The activity with the most votes win, and the majority of people attending get to participate in something they like.

Run your final suggestions past the groom, and if he thinks it sounds awesome then you have a winning plan!

3. Raise Funds

Now that everything is planned, you need to gather money from all of your friends to pay for your amazing stag do. It’s always awkward asking for cash from friends, even for stag dos. However, you need the money to make it happen! Make strict deadlines and remind your friends until they pay up.

Now that your stag do is booked and you have chosen the best activities for the groom and everyone has paid up, sit back and prepare yourself for an incredible time!

Author Resource:- Stag dos are great fun, but they also involve plenty of thinking ahead and planning.
