The Impressive Sensation From HTC Becomes The Brands Top Smartphone

In the ever changing world of mobile phones, technology changes at an alarming rate. What was top specification two months ago quickly becomes middle of the road to make way for the latest innovations. This has never been more apparent than with HTCs latest release. It seems the Incredible S handsets reign as the show piece model is over fairly quickly thanks to the newest member of the HTC family, the gorgeous looking Sensation.

You may be forgiven for glancing at this phone from a distance and thinking it is similar to the Desire S. The phones both look similar thanks to the heavy use of aluminium combined with neat curves, take a step closer to this new model however and you will see the three different metallic shades that make up the back panel, and also give the device a stylish look different from many of its counterparts. This new element of styling genuinely catches the eye, especially amongst the sea of regulation black phones currently available. Flip the phone over and there are some neat touches to be found on the front of the phone too. You will see that the large screen display is slightly sunken into the phones chassis meaning its frame sits slightly higher than the screen itself. This principal serves two purposes. Firstly it helps to protect the screen as if you were to place the model face down, the screen does not make contact with any surface thus reducing the chances of scuffs and scratches. The second benefit comes when using the phone, with the frame letting your fingers no when you are on the boundaries of the display. This is a very simple implementation, one that could have easily been made by any manufacturer, yet once again HTC prove why they are ahead of the chasing pack by being the first to use the system.

Just like on the firms other large screen display, the Desire HD, the HTC Sensation incorporates a big screen perfect for displaying all manner of material. At 4.3 inches the screen measures up the same as the older model which is pleasing, any bigger and you are pushing the boundaries of what can be regarded as a practical mobile phone handset size. HTC have used the increasingly popular contour display on this phone which has some practical advantages when it comes to using the phone. The curve of the screen follows the curve of your cheek when you have the phone held to your face and the phone is also more comfortable when you are composing texts or e mails. Let us not also forget the fact that the curves also give the phone a real talking point. Although sizing has stayed the same, the same can not be said about the resolution of the display which has received a boost, the result now being a jaw dropping 540 x 960 resolution.

Not only does the new HTC Sensation muscle its way to the front of HTCs range, but it does the same to the bulk of the mobile market, making this the handset to own this forthcoming summer.
