More Than A Phone Thanks To Docking Facilities - The Impressive Motorola Atrix

There is so much to write about with the new Atrix handset from Motorola, the abundance of RAM, the fast processor, the excellent screen. There however is one aspect of this model that sets it apart from its rival models, and that is the docking options that effectively take what is a great mobile phone, and turn it into a range of other home entertainment products.

Certainly the most eye catching, and perhaps most functional of the three options on offer is the innovative laptop dock, which utilises the internal working of the phone, and adds to them other components, the result being a fully functioning laptop. Instead on relying upon the phones screen, you now have a 11.6 inch display on which to peruse your material. Rather than placing to much strain upon the Atrixs in built battery, the dock does offer its own three cell battery that also charges the phone, so when you have finished with the dock, you are left with a nicely charged phone. The full keyboard is well spaced out, and offers a user experience that rivals many netbooks, which is a better comparison to draw rather than the laptop one. The phone itself also incorporates features that help the experience when using it in this manner. On top of the familiar Android operating system, there is also a Linux based web top with access to Firefox 3.6, offering a superb online experience. Of course you still have access to the phones stored data, as well as the ability to run any applications that you have on the large screen.

The second docking option available on the Motorola Atrix is perhaps has less eye catching, yet still offers a versatile alternative to traditional mobile usage. The multi media dock is the feature that will really get media fans excited. The great aspect of this phone is that it is so powerful that it can entertain items such as this, which would hinder the performance of lesser models. This dock utilises the storage facilities of the phone, and enable simple link up to a home entertainment system in order to view video files or listen to music. The advantages of watching a movie on a 42inch plasma rather than a phone screen is obvious, and like wise listening to your tunes through a home cinema system. When sat in this dock, suddenly your single micro USB become three full blown USBs, plus an HDMI socket allows for easy connection to television equipment. The web browser we mentioned earlier looks great on the large screen, and the in built media player sports yet another interface and easy access to a multitude of files.

The Atrix is not only one of the best handsets available, but the range of peripheral units makes it ground breaking in terms of technology.
