Make Sure You Have the Right ADI Policy

Certain ADI insurance policies will be very limited in terms of what they offer and certain providers will be far more interested in looking after themselves than they will be in looking after your interests. Whilst with normal insurance policies finding the cheapest option is often the best solution since you seemingly have much more control over whether or not you are likely to have an accident, with ADI insurance, there is far more to think about.
Not that this means you will have to pay over the odds for your driving instructor insurance. Instead, it is merely a case of balancing price with what the policy actually covers. For instance, some insurance providers will offer very little in terms of no claims bonus from the start, hoping that a student will have an accident early on and negate the need to ever offer you such bonuses. Meanwhile, others will offer you high no claims bonuses from the start which will only continue to grow.
You also need to be sure that the policy offers you bonuses such as legal protection and recovery of business losses, as simply being covered against the cost of damage may not be enough to cover you financially – after all, in such a line of work, your car is indeed your income.
The excess may vary greatly too, and whilst no one plans on claiming, the possibility of having to claim a number of times can definitely not be ruled out and having a very high excess will be far more expensive than paying slightly more for your policy and having far less in terms of excess.
Ultimately, shop around and make sure that the driving instructor insurance provider you choose is not only cost-effective but also reputable and offers you all the benefits you need.
