Choosing a vacuum cleaner is definitely not as simple as walking into a shop or visiting a website and choosing the first that you see. Upright Or Cylinder
The cylinder vacuum cleaner was actually designed for use on hard floors while uprights were created with carpeted floors in mind. However, there is now a degree of crossover and so you can buy variants of each that are designed for cleaning all floors. This means that you can choose depending on which style of vacuum you are more comfortable with and which you find more convenient.
Bagged Or Bagless
Bagged vacuum cleaners are being overtaken in popularity by their bagless counterparts. When choosing a bagless vacuum you will need to decide whether you want a filter vacuum, a single cyclonic one, or a multiple cyclonic vacuum cleaner.

There are two general types of filter used in vacuum cleaners – a micro filter or a HEPA filter. The micro filter is considered more basic and is usually found on basic vacuum models while HEPA filters pick up more allergens and pollutants. HEPA filters are especially popular with allergy and asthma sufferers but can also help to rid any property of bad smells and potentially harmful pollutants. |
