Temporary Kitchens

A good friend of mine and I have recently started a new business which involves selling Mexican burritos at music festivals. My friend had already worked in a Mexican restaurant and thought that they would be ideal for festivals. In order to make all the preparations and cook the food, we obviously need temporary kitchens. Temporary kitchens are a great alternative to the traditional burger van, there is a lot more space to work in, and it certainly looks and feels a lot more professional. Neither of us had ever used temporary kitchens before so we were both entering new territory.
We both did some research and we got an idea of what sort of temporary kitchens we were looking for. We didn’t need to look at any large temporary kitchens because what we were cooking was reasonably basic compared to some other catering company’s requirements. However, we did know that the temporary kitchens that we looked at needed to have all the necessary equipment that we needed, including hobs, ovens, a freezer, fridges, hot plates etc. You really can’t cut any corners when it comes to serving hot food to the public, so you need to be properly equipped.
