10 Characteristics to Look for in A Good Wellness Coach

Are you confused about what you need to do to stay in shape? Are you unable to see the difference between all the exercises and work outs available? Are you willing to be trained, coached and pushed by a Wellness Coach? And if you find one, how will you know that he or she will help you attain your dreams of becoming fit and healthy?

Most people who want to become fit and healthy are misguided by different trainers and coaches. Instead of being coached into shape, many are fed with false information about wellness. You then have the duty to know what a Wellness Coach must have in order for you to keep going.

A Good Wellness Coach will:

1. Determine what you require physically, mentally and emotionally – a good coach knows what motivates you. He knows what you need physically and will focus on what you need. He is also aware about your thoughts on exercise and getting fit. He will help you focus on your goal, and together you can work out for the best.
2. Not be Easily Persuaded - A good coach or trainer understands that you can be discouraged at times when it comes to exercise. And he also knows that you will convince him into letting you give up. But that's not what a good coach will let you do.
3. Encourage You to Finish Back Breaking Tasks – Whether it's about your diet or the right exercise for you, a good coach knows how to support you to finish what you've started.
4. Inform You about Your Progress – You are not only with your coach to finish what you've started; your coach is there to keep you updated on your progress. He will inform you about how far you are going what you still need to do in order to become fit.
5. Give you a wellness plan which you can stick to – A wellness plan is like a scheduled activity you need to do included in this plan are the foods you need to eat.
6. Help You Learn the Basics Of Nutrition – A good Wellness Coach will not only let you perform different exercises but will also help you learn about the basics in nutrition and why it's good for your overall health.
7. Help You Improve Your Lifestyle – To improve your lifestyle means to quit your vices and live healthily. A good coach knows that you will not succeed in becoming fit if you are still fighting with some of your addictions. Your coach will help you overcome those bad habits that are pulling you down in order to succeed.
8. Make You Realize Your Potentials – As someone who is aspiring to become fit and healthy, you will not be exempted form things like stress and even the feeling of giving up on your routine, but a Wellness Coach will not let you be discouraged. He is quite aware of your potentials and will constantly help you work on your goal.
9. Help You Overcome Health Obstacles – Anything that's making you want to quit will be pushed aside by your wellness coach. Together, you can build a good relationship that will help you to reach your goals without thinking too much about the obstacles around you.
10. Finish the Job You Ask –The best gift your Wellness Coach can give you is by finishing the job with the best results.
